On the occasion of Made in Italy National Day 2026, Kiton celebrates “Grand Tour. Viaggio attraverso le Accademie delle Arti e dei Mestieri”, the documentary promoted by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, dedicated to the excellence of craftsmanship and the transmission of know-how.
The film takes the viewer inside Italy’s fashion academies, highly specialized training environments where, under the guidance of master artisans, savoir-faire is passed on through an immersive, hands-on experience, also open to the new generations.
Among the institutions featured, we are proud to include our Kiton Tailoring School, founded in 2000 by Ciro Paone to preserve and pass on sartorial excellence. Its immersive training path, which combines theory and practice, transforms learning into a tangible experience and has already trained more than 200 young talents, many of whom are now part of Kiton and the wider industry.
Through the voices of those who create, teach, and learn, the documentary offers an authentic and emotional portrayal of Made in Italy as an integrated system of creativity, manufacturing, innovation, and education, deeply rooted in local territories.
Written and directed by Alessandro Manieri and executive produced by The Blink Fish, Grand Tour reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing Italian know-how, strengthening the dialogue between tradition and the future.
The documentary premiered in Milan on April 15, 2026, at the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber, gathering institutions, entrepreneurs, designers, and students from leading fashion and design schools.
In Rome, a special public screening will take place on April 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM at the MAXXI Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI Secolo, as part of the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions.
The tour will continue in Athens on April 27, 2026, at the initiative of the Italian Embassy, hosted at the Fondazione Goulandris, followed by a talk with CNMI President Carlo Capasa, dedicated to students, journalists, and industry professionals.
