From January 22 to 25, 2025, we bring at Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Parigi will host the second stage of Tailoring School. A journey into education, an exhibition co-produced with Triennale Milano and curated by Luca Stoppini, advisor to Triennale’s fashion department. Supported by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, the event underscores the vital role of craftsmanship and training in modern culture.
After its debut at Milan Fashion Week Menswear, the exhibition arrives in Paris to spotlight Kiton’s Tailoring School, founded in 2000. Visitors can watch live demonstrations by students and teachers from the 2022-2025 class, recreating a typical day of professional training.
Through videos, live sessions, and storytelling, the exhibition marks 25 years of Kiton’s commitment to preserving artisanal traditions and advancing the global art of tailoring. It also delves into the Neapolitan cultural heritage at the core of the school’s philosophy while reflecting on the impact of new technologies and artificial intelligence on craftsmanship.
Since 2000, Kiton has been promoting training for excellence through its Tailoring School, a project that was initiated by our founder Ciro Paone to pass on the art of tailoring to young people and to offer them concrete professional opportunities. Today the school is a beacon in the sector, opening up numerous opportunities for its graduates, from joining Kiton to working with other fashion brands or launching their own independent entrepreneurial career paths. We are proud to join with these important institutions in bringing the exhibition to the French capital, achieving another objective that proves how it is possible to combine dreams and aspirations with concrete professional reality, while preserving a cultural heritage, contributing to the future of fashion, and showcasing Italian tailoring excellence on an international stage.
Key voices, including Antonio De Matteis (CEO of Kiton), Silverio Paone (Head of Production at Kiton), Stefano Boeri (President of Triennale Milano), and Carla Morogallo (Director General of Triennale Milano), emphasize the vital role of training in sustaining artisan expertise for future generations.
This event offers a rare opportunity to explore the synergy of tradition, innovation, and education in tailoring, celebrating a journey that shapes the future of craftsmanship.
