Kiton is awarded the SFA Education of Excellence Award for its Tailoring School

Milan, September 27, 2025 – Teatro alla Scala.

We are proud to have been awarded the SFA Education of Excellence Award at the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2025, the ceremony organized by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana in collaboration with the UN Alliance for Sustainable Fashion and with the support of the Municipality of Milan.

Each year, the Awards celebrate individuals and organizations that combine creative excellence with a strong commitment to a more sustainable future.

The award was presented to us for our Tailoring School (Scuola di Alta Sartoria), founded in 2000 by Ciro Paone with the mission of passing on Neapolitan tailoring traditions to new generations.

The prize was assigned by a distinguished international jury that chose to honor Kiton for creating a truly unique educational model: an identity-driven project with a strong social vocation, able to safeguard cultural heritage while at the same time generating new opportunities for qualified employment. The recognition was presented by Trudie Styler, film producer and director to Antonio De Matteis, CEO of Kiton, and Maria Giovanna Paone, President of Kiton.

"This recognition belongs first and foremost to our uncle Ciro, who twenty-five years ago had the vision and courage to create a true school of training. Today we accept it as a family, but our deepest gratitude goes to the young people: to those who, over the years, entered the school with hope and left with passion, craft and dignity. They are the ones who have taught us how right and necessary it is to trust the new generations",

To highlight the project’s impact, three recent graduates from the latest course, all newly hired at Kiton, joined the stage together with their Maestro, who has devoted himself with passion to training the new generation of artisans.
